What a busy week!

Reception enjoyed starting the week with ‘Odd Socks Day’. They thought all about what is means to be kind (and learning the Makaton sign) and designed their own odd socks creating repeated patterns. They investigated which was most efficient at cleaning up crumbs- a dustpan and brush or a hoover as there were lots of crumbs left after the Children in Need Cake Sale.

We read the book, ‘Car, Car, Truck, Jeep’ and children identified some rhyming patterns and talked about the materials found on the light table. They continued to make dens and bridges as teams.
