Year 3 have been budding scientists this term and have been investigating different types of soils. Our objective was to discover which type of soil- sandy, clay loam, chalky loam, clay soil and chalk soil was the most absorbent. We carefully measured the same amount of water for each soil type and used filter paper, funnels and a stopwatch as part of our experiment.
