As part of our Forest School project in year 5, we have been trying to figure out what to do with the patch of soil at the front of school. Mr Stevens and Mrs Slater dug the ground into a crest shape and asked for ideas of what we could do to make the school more inviting. Several children mentioned the idea of creating a large EGPS sign at the front. Months have passed since those first conversations and we have now put the plan into action.
After de-weeding the area. We got several stones and placed them into letter shaped moats which we made in the soil. We are still in debate as to what to do for the full shield. Ideas have ranged from lots of flowers to possibly coloured artificial grass!
