Year 2 had a visit from Safety Seymour and learnt all about Carbon Monoxide.
In maths we measured a line and drew a dinosaur to scale on the playground and then had a go at drawing our own.
In phonics we played games and made lanterns for Halloween and we used them at our party too! We added some phonics words like boo, trick, hat, cat and some tricky words.
Last week Year 1 enjoyed using mathematical language, ‘more’ and ‘less’ whilst reading scales to create dinosaur biscuits.
For homework, we asked our grown-ups, brothers and sisters to put their hand prints on a piece of paper. We talked about who has the largest hand and who has the smallest, in our family. We also talked about what our grown-ups do for us. We had circle time so we could show our work to our friends.
In our maths lessons, we have enjoyed using the Numicon to help compare numbers.
We had fun planting daffodil bulbs outside. We got a little muddy and can’t wait for them to grow!
It was Lucy’s birthday this week. We had fun making and writing cards for her. We also made party hats and even made a birthday cake out of play dough! We had a party for her where we played games and ate some delicious cake. Yum!
