Year 4 had a wonderful day at Conkers. They enjoyed learning about the Vikings by completing an orienteering challenge- decoding Viking text. They created their own ‘dragon’ inspired artwork using natural resources from the site and built their own Long Houses.

4SE Maths group enjoyed adding amounts of money. They chose items from a shop and made full use of a quiet playground to do their working out!
Year 4 enjoyed a day learning all about the Queen and why we celebrate the coronation. They learnt about her family members and the line of succession and listened to the national anthem. They enjoyed a party which involved eating cake, pretending to do equestrian events and bashing a piñata.
What a fantastic finish to our Roman topic! The children enjoyed many activities, but particularly loved baking Roman bread, sampling some Roman cuisine and having Gladiator battles! An enjoyable day had by all!
Year 4 were very excited to learn that there were three new chicks…unfortunately, they didn’t spot them on this occasion.
4SE enjoyed an active maths lesson which involved rounding decimals and working as a team.
4SE enjoyed putting their French vocabulary in action by playing a memory game. The children had items on their tables and took it in turns to remove one (or more) items. They then (in French) had to say the number of items missing and name each item using the correct French word.
The 4SE maths group enjoyed using the ‘part, part, whole model’ when exploring decimals.
Year 4 enjoyed looking at a variety of pieces of art which featured Boudica. They looked carefully at how she was depicted and discussed the validity of how she was portrayed. They then took turns to model as Boudica (thinking carefully about their stance) and sketched the model paying attention to proportion.
Year 4 enjoyed a much sunnier second attempt at their Easter challenge. They even had a visit from the Easter Bunny who brought with him a basket of goodies. Unfortunately, the bunny had padlocked the eggs shut and so Year 4 had complete one final challenge to crack the code.
