Reception and KS1 met and then KS2 for a socially distanced reveal of the sports day results. Well done to The White Team. A massive thank you to Mr Hancock and Callum for running seven sports days this year!

Turns out that staying up ALL night left us feeling very tired the next day but it was definitely worth it.
A little hint of how wet the children got during the water race. Smiles all round. More to follow.
We carried out our own experiment to test our resting heart rate and heart rate after exercise.
As part of our science topic, we made our own blood so we could see the different elements: red blood cells, white blood cells and the plasma. We then tested how quickly blood flows and whether there is a difference of blood flow between the arteries, veins and capillaries. Then clogging the arteries with Vaseline highlighted the importance of leading
We have been learning about our circulatory system this week. Here we are dissecting the hearts of pigs focusing on finding the four chambers and their entry and exit points.
This week some of our year six children went for a walk/play a we ventured a little further than the playground. Running down hills is fun no matter what your age.
Year 6 had a visit from a secondary school teacher this week who led us through a science experiment where the children had to filter urine. This was linked to experiments carried out by NASA to support their astronauts. *Real urine was NOT used to the relief of the children (and teachers).
