Year 6 have had an eye-opening week researching the causes and impact of climate change. We have learnt however, that although human beings might be the problem, we are also the solution. We have encouraged the children to talk to their families about the important topic at home.

In our PE lessons we have enjoyed filming each other to help us perfect the new skills we are learning.
We’ve been busy in maths the past few weeks. Using the white boards and working with friends to solve problems if fun. We have had some heated discussions about how best to solve some problems!
As the weather turns, we have been having fun indoors during skills academy.
Reception children have been working hard to improve their co-ordination and balance focusing on their footwork and their one legged balance. They are putting their skills to good practise whilst riding their magical invisible bikes around the hall.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our skills academy sessions and we are so pleased we can still take part in different activities on a Friday afternoon in our bubble. Learning new skills (and teaching Miss Appleton TikTok dances), is a great way to end the week!
Year 6 enjoyed taking part in messy hair day and the cake sale this week for Children In Need. Thank you to everyone who took part and for sending lots of cakes in for the children to buy.
Year 6 have enjoyed the opportunity to take part in Zumba sessions at lunchtime on a Friday. A big thank you to Jennifer Kelly (dance teacher) who provides a free Zumba session each week.
This half term, our focus in one of our PE lessons is Invasion Games. We have a lot of competitive children in the year group!
