Our netball superstars played their first match against Potters Green at the end of the Autumn Term. We won both games; a great start to the year. The children worked well as a team and put into practise some of the skills they have been taught. Well done to all and thank you to the parents who came to support

The children visited the Richo Arena for the Wasps Netball Community Day. They were lucky enough to get to meet Jade Clarke who plays for England Netball team and helped the Roses win the Gold Medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. It was a great morning and the children thoroughly enjoyed the various activities on offer.
This week we have had many discussions about the North and South Pole. To ensure everyone had their chance to speak, we used the ball of string to pass around; only the person with the string could talk so we had to listen to each other carefully. As well as improving our communication skills we created some interesting string webs.
Year 6 have been investigating factors, multiples and prime numbers and applying their knowledge of fractions during a treasure hunt.
