We had stand up comedians, a magician, actors, dancers and a piano player. Many giggles were had by all!
We are very lucky at our school to have some amazing sports stars but these children have been chosen as the stand out sports stars in their year group. They have won a free tickets to The Wave as part of The Commonwealth Games celebrations. We hope they all have lots of fun.
Well done to the white team who are overall winners with 19 points. It was a close competition with the red team coming second with 18 points and the green and blue came joint third with 17 points. What a wonderful way to spend our final sports day at primary school! We were very proud of all the children for their efforts but also for embracing the day. You can see the enjoyment on their faces! A massive thank you to Mr Hancock and Callum for organising their seventh sports day this year!
We are incredibly proud of the children who have attended the intensive swimming course at the Alan Higgs Centre over the past two weeks learning a very important life skill. They have shown bravery and determination as well as perseverance by walking there and back every day.
This week we have enjoyed learning about the circulatory system. We have learnt the names and functions of the different parts of the heart, made blood, acted out how blood travels around the body, measured our heart rates before and after exercise and dissected pig’s hearts. *Final photos include pig’s hearts.
Some of our children went to Broad Heath Primary School to represent our school at a recent competition. We were really proud of the children and their high levels of determination and will power. A big thank you to two of our sports leaders who also went and lead one of the stations.
