Year 5 and 6 thoroughly enjoyed putting their glad rags on for their Christmas disco. The teachers were impressed with their dance moves and the children seemed to really enjoy themselves. It was lovely to see them all together.

The recorder group are really coming along and can now play a couple of different songs. The games group are improving on their strategising when challenging each other to some well known games.
Who would have thought learning with playdough could be so much fun. 6A were very excited about using playdough to respresent some of the causes of climate change. It helped to secure their knowledge of a vital yet complicated topic.
The children worked really hard to create their reports full of facts about The Polar Regions. We were really impressed with their final pieces. Underneath each hexagon is a variety of facts about the Arctic and Antarctica.
We shared how positivity and comp,I Enti get one another can make someone else’s day.
We’ve been doing a lot of research about the polar regions this week. Before we wrote our favourite facts, we created our own success criteria of what our informative writing should include. We also used the iPads to create our own Padlet about the polar landscapes.
Invasion games coupled with the seated balance and jumping and landing is the focus for KS2 this half term.
KS1 have been busy practising their seated balance and jumping and landing skills in their PE lessons. They have also been perfecting their dribbling, hitting and kicking skills whilst encouraging me anther and helping each other to improve.
We’ve had a very busy week of science investigations. Conductors, insulators, electrons, positive, negative, volts, current, circuits, energy…our brains are full! We sent a morse code and powered a bulb with lemons!
This half term Year 6 are perfecting their basketball skills during their invasion games lessons. They are also working on developing their creative skills during their Real PE lessons whilst also focusing on improving their seated balance.
