Year 4 put their ‘mountainous’ knowledge to the test in an active geography lesson. After talking about what we thought we knew already, we ventured around the classroom to build on our knowledge.
Thank you to all of the budding artists who have joined in this year’s Go Ape competition! We have seen some lovely skills shown in the wonderful Christmas card designs. On Thursday 7th December, it was Christmas Jumper Day. We enjoyed seeing everyone in their wonderful jumpers, thank you to everyone who participated and donated!
The girls have been having a lovely (if not cold) time this half term in skills academy! We have been practising our skills, and putting them together in our games. We have already made so much progress!
Year 4 have enjoyed getting into the Anglo-Saxon spirit by practising their weaving. Here are some in-action shots and final pieces!
We had a great time walking around the school to measure different volumes in decibels. We used an amazing app on the iPads and went into different classrooms and areas of the school to see which would be the quietest, and which would be the loudest!
Year 4 have been incredibly generous this year for the Harvest Festival! We had a great assembly with Reverend John, where we learnt all about what harvest was about and finished with our Harvest Samba!
Our judges had a difficult time, but we finally added up to scores to find our very own.. Ernesford Grange Star Bakers!
In our brand new topic, ‘Islamic Art’, we have been looking at geometric patterns to help create our own clay tiles. We had great fun exploring with different shapes and colours before testing out our clay skills! This week, we have started to create our own geometric tiles with lots of different tools! Next week, it’s time to paint..!
