During the summer term our project in Year 5 will be Sow and grow. This provides an excellent opportunity to use our Forest School environment to sow and grow our own plants. The children really enjoy working in our outdoor classroom and getting dirty!
Year 5 have taken part in a programme designed to make them safer cyclists. The children enjoyed bringing their bikes into school and hopefully learnt how to cycle safely.
This week in science Year 5 have been learning about forces: especially gravity. Their task was to design a parachute for a sky-diving company that would bring their customers down to earth slowly and safely.
Year 5 enjoyed various activities on World Book Day, and looked super in all their costumes. Throughout the week the children studied The Island by Armin Greder and wrote their own sequel.
Year 5 enjoyed painting and dancing like an Egyptian.
The children in Year 5 enjoyed researching Egyptian god’s and mummifying a tomato!
