Year 3 had a fun day of activities to celebrate Greek day. We held our own Olympic games in Greek City state teams… the Spartans, Athenians, Corinthians, Argonians and Megarians. We have been learning the Greek Story about the Trojan War. We used our designing and making skills to create our own models of Trojan horses. We made sure they all had working wheels and axles. It was lots of fun!
We have had fun staying active this week whilst also practising our Maths skills! We played games adding amounts of money and finding change.
We have had fun learning about Greek myths this week. We also discovered that there were some Greek people from the past who influenced our world as it is today. We wrote fact files about famous Greek people such as Plato and Archimedes and learned how to word process these onto a computer.
Year 3 really enjoyed their Stone Age experience. Richard from the History Squad brought lots of historical artefacts for the children to explore. We played games, made cave paintings and built our own Stone Henge!
