The year 3’s had a go at making really muddy water look clean again. They created their own filter out of natural materials and poured the muddy water through. Some of them managed to make their water really clear! We discussed the importance of tree roots to protect from flooding and cleaning water.

The children had fun testing their buggies inside and outside on different surfaces. They talked about the material of the surface and what it felt like.
Year 2 forest school children made bird feeders. They are hoping that the birds enjoy them!
We used a map to find different trig points hidden around the KS1 playground. All of the children found all 10 pictures with their partner and had lots of fun at the same time! They were excellent at using the map and learnt all about the key. They could identify features such as the shed, tyres and fence on the
Children represented numbers to 20 using deans. They also had fun making a number track and playing counting games outside.
For the start of our geography topic of ‘Our Wonderful World’ the children sorted out physical features and human features. They talked about each picture and decided where it should go.
We used the numicon to find number bonds. When we put 10 on one side and 3 and 7 on the other side they balanced. It was a fun way to show that they are equal to each other!
