The children in year 1 really enjoyed making homes for their animals. They worked together and talked about what their animal would need to stay safe. We had lots of fun!
In science children did some experiments with touch and sight. They began to learn about the senses, the body parts associated with each sense and their role in keeping us safe. We had fun trying to touch things using only one eye to help us see and feeling all sorts of strange things with our eyes closed!
The children had lots of fun on the bouncy castle obstacle course. It was a great way to start the year!
It’s been hot!! To keep ourselves cool we had fun with the water learning about capacity, and even got our feet wet afterwards. We all dreamt of rainy days and did some lovely water colours of a wet day with a rainbow.
Year 3 had fun in forest school doing some ‘cave painting’. They talked about the sort of things people would have painted on walls in caves during the stone age. We did get mess but it was great!
The year 3 forest school group had lots of fun making an enormous den in the forest school area. They worked together as a team and the den looks amazing! Well done! They also enjoyed a toasted marshmallow – yum!
Although the rain kept us inside, we still had lots of fun at our Jubilee Party! Year 1 had party food, dancing and games. The children also learnt lots about the Queen and her long reign.
