Today we have been looking at what kind of information is safe to share online, and what shouldn’t be shared. We looked at lots of different scenarios where information has been shared safely or unsafely. The children also looked at how to share photos safely.

As part of our learning, children have been learning how to program using lessons and activities from Code.org. To extend their learning, pupils are now using Scratch Jr, the iPad app, to put into practice what they have learnt.
Children in this group have been using iPads to create digital media. We had fun taking photos using various filters. Then we created movies using these photos. We investigated adding music and sound fx to our movies, and also added titles and effects.
Children in the skills academy group for computing have been learning to program with Scratch. We have been investigating and creating games.
Children have been logging into the website code.org and practising their coding skills. The website gives them a range of coding challenges involving some well known characters like Angry Bird, BB8 and Plant vs Zombie.

On Thursday, children were involved in a range of water sport activities and having fun at the beach.

Updates from our school pond, we’ve had some new visitors including a hedgehog and a fox cub. We have also taken lots of photographs around the pond and its visiting wildlife.
