Key Stage 1 School Council have been making posters to advertise our cake sale on Red Nose Day on Friday March 18th! Cake donations gratefully accepted! Don’t forget to dress up as a Superhero and buy lots of delicious cakes!
In Reception we played ‘Chinese Whispers’ to pass a message round a circle. Then we went outside to do the same over distance, where we had to SHOUT! We had lots of fun learning about loud and quiet voices!
Reception had lots of fun making staircase patterns with unifix cubes! We had to make sure that they were in the correct order. We then played a game where we had to take turns hiding one of the staircase towers and had to try to guess which one was missing!
The children had lots of fun today dressing up as their favourite book characters! Can you guess who we are?
Reception enjoyed a walk around school. We listened for different sounds. This was a great start to our new topic, “What’s That Sound?”. It’s amazing how many different things we could hear!
The children enjoyed playing ‘Sleeping Dragons!’ The children had to creep up quietly and ‘steal’ the dragon’s treasure! They had to carry the ‘treasure’ (musical instruments) carefully so that they didn’t wake up the sleepy dragon! The dragon had to guess who had stolen the treasure.
The children had lots of fun learning to play noughts and crosses with goody and baddy pictures! It was a bit tricky trying to get 3 in a line, but we managed it!
We got creative in Reception this week and made a wand! We had a variety of materials to choose from, such as feathers, pom poms, pipe cleaners, sequins and ribbons. We then talked about what our wishes would be! What wish would you make?
Look at our fantastic castles! We used different construction sets and some of us used sticky paper shapes. We learned about different parts of a castle, such as the drawbridge, moat, turret and portcullis!
