This afternoon, on a very wet Thursday, year 2 tested bubble solutions. We created a list of what we felt made a ‘good’ bubble and then used this to help assess which solution was the best using our own made up scale.
Solution 1 was just tap water and washing up liquid. Solution 2, included bottled water, washing up liquid and glycerine. When testing, we talked about why bubbles pop, the forces behind accelerating them upwards and them floating back down. Year 2 learnt words such as ‘robust’.
We then created our own bubble art, inspired by an animation, which we have yet to finish. We drew ourselves floating on top, or sitting within a bubble and created settings that we would like our bubble to float to.
