The Y6 children and teachers fully enjoyed taking part in the obstacle race we set up for Sports Relief. As you can see we all got a little competitive 🙂 Thank you for making the effort to come in your coloured sports day teams. We will use the points from today to contribute to the final scores on sports day.
We loved seeing all the potato book characters that the children made for the homework and were amazed by range of characters and the brilliant ideas the children had. Thank you to all the adults for supporting their children with this activity.
What a super week we have had doing lots of experiments finding out about sound. We learned about vibrations and sound waves.
We loved having our grown ups come and play for our Family Session. We painted Spring flowers, wrote Spring words, made ‘delicious treats’ out of play dough including ‘pizza’ and ‘pasty’ and played outside in our mud kitchen and with our space rockets. We really enjoyed having our grown ups come and visit!
This afternoon, Year 2 were given the task of creating a stable tower. They had to investigate which materials were appropriate and had to ensure that their towers were strong, stiff and stable. Year 2 enjoyed taking part in the assault course. We got a little bit muddy!
Last week, the children made a long list of activities they would like to do for their club. 1st on their list was an eating challenge which included eating a lime, eating a donut without licking your lips, eating as many crackers as you can in 2 minutes without having a drink and manoeuvring an after 8 from your forehead
One of our sports relief challenges last week was a netball match between the teachers and some of the year 6 children. Height was definitely an advantage for the teachers who were very pleased (and very relieved) with their 12-3 win. A big congratulations to the children who played for giving 100{0201daeace5a455cf0d74487a2cb9fe131c98ac97240a3f1203d7e130a7ca948} effort and not giving up.
