Year 6 have been studying the artwork of Kenojuak Ashevak. We also attempted to make our own soap sculptures. Although some of the animals ended up without legs, arms or in some cases a head, we had a lot of fun making them. Its harder than it looks!
Our netball superstars played their first match against Potters Green at the end of the Autumn Term. We won both games; a great start to the year. The children worked well as a team and put into practise some of the skills they have been taught. Well done to all and thank you to the parents who came to support
It was ‘Party Time’ in Reception. We got to meet Santa and he gave us some presents. It was very exciting! We danced, played games and had some party cakes. We had a really great time! Merry Christmas everyone!
We had lots of fun at our Christmas Party. One of Santa’s little helpers came and did lots of different tricks. He was very funny and made us laugh! We played lots of different games too including musical statues and pass the parcel. We even got a visit from Santa himself! He gave us all a present. We really enjoyed
We had fun performing our Christmas concert to all our grown ups. We sang lots of different songs including ‘Jingle bells’, ‘Christmas pudding’ and ‘Away in a manger’. We hope you liked it!

Like 5W, 5S have also been dissecting lilies in order to see inside them. We have been trying to identify the male and female parts of a ‘perfect flower’ such as the lily. The pollen does get a bit messy but we were extra careful when it came to separating out each part.
The weather can sometimes make finding warmth and shelter from the rain an impossibility during Forest School but luckily we’ve learned some new skills in order to make these fantastic shelters to keep use warm and dry when the weather turns!
