In Reception we have had a new piece of equipment for our Outdoor Classroom. We had fun playing a numeral recognition game and developing our co-ordination skills too! Thank you Mr Woan for making us such a fun resource!

Year 5 have recently set Design Technology homework, based on our ‘Tudors’ topic. We have been delighted with the standard of work completed by the children. Here are some photographs of their fantastic efforts!
As part of our Forest School project in year 5, we have been trying to figure out what to do with the patch of soil at the front of school. Mr Stevens and Mrs Slater dug the ground into a crest shape and asked for ideas of what we could do to make the school more inviting. Several children mentioned
5S have been looking at the various castles and palaces of King Henry VIII. One such castle was the Tower of London. We’ve been trying to draw an accurate map of the Tower and surrounding area but were finding it hard to get it as detailed as possible. Several children realised they could trace some of the hard to draw
5S have enjoyed a very active maths lesson, which involved moving in anyh way we wanted across the hall to collect as many addition questions as possible. We would bring them back to our team and then try and work them out together. We particularly enjoyed the bunny hopping method!!
We had fun learning about Diwali in Nursery. We learnt that it is a festival of light and that people watch fireworks and give presents to celebrate. Some of us enjoyed dressing up in traditional Indian clothes. We also made and painted a diva out of clay.
In Skills Academy Learning Hub Club, Kapla was very popular. It was amazing to see children from Y3 to Y6 working together to make a range of Kapla towers and creations.
Last Friday Y6 pupils take part in a First Aid Training course where they learned basic First Aid Skills, including resuscitation. A big thank you to Mrs Pagett for giving up her time to run the course!
After learning about the different chambers of the heart and its functions, we dissected some pigs’ hearts and then looked at how the heart, lungs and oesophagus are joined together.
