This week, Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed investigating our circulatory system: how it works, the different elements and how we can look after ourselves. We finished off our World War II topic with a wonderful trip to Holdenby House. The children entered the spirit of the day by dressing up as evacuees. They took part in different activities through the day: cooking, make do and mend, evacuation and a reviewing a soldier’s rations and equipment. It was a great day and the children thoroughly

In the last week of our topic, we made our own stuffed toys. Our sewing skills were definitely put to the test but we were pleased with the outcome.
On Thursday October 10th, Year 5 spent the day at Tudor World in Stratford Upon Avon, to continue our studies into Tudor life. The children learned so much and experienced the life and times of William Shakespeare…with the great man himself!
