Another busy week during our maths lessons. We’ve been learning about rounding numbers, negative numbers and place value.
This week we have been creating ‘expanded noun phrases’. We visited the Learning Hug and worked together in teams, writing adjectives inspired by pictures set on the sea… We used these adjectives today within our ‘expanded noun phrases!’
During our first week in Year 2, lots of really exciting things happened… Mrs Scannell and Mrs Crust introduced us to the Bog babies they had found! This week 6A maths group have been enjoying lots of different types of maths lessons. We have been to the Learning Hub to recap on what we learnt in year 5 after a long Summer away from school. We have also had a few lessons in the hall where we have enjoyed participating in short active maths activities. The children
This week, Year 5 and 6 started their active assemblies by following a Body Coach clip. The children were very excited and recognised the benefits to not only their physical health but mental health as well. This will now be a weekly occurrence for upper key stage 2.
The sun was shining on our final skills academy afternoon of this academic year. The children enjoyed trying different activities this week.
