We were all pleased to see the sunshine again on Friday, ready to have fun in our Skills Academy Clubs.
The girls have been busy learning their dance with Izzy, our dance teacher and are looking forward to showing the routine to their friends next week. They have also been working on their own routines – we have some very talented, creative members in the club. This week we took our dance moves outside and enjoyed dancing in the sunshine.
Our brilliant netball team played in the semi finals of the cup against All Souls Primary School. The team continued their run of wins 10-4. They were amazing!
Our netball team spent the morning at Warwick University for the Level 3 competition on the new netball courts. They played against 7 other schools from across the county, winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 2. It was a tough (very warm) morning but as always they played superbly coming 5th out of 400 schools! Our netball team secured another win in their away cup match against St Christopher winning 1-9. They may have moaned about the team photo being taken AFTER the match but it was smiles all round on the way home (including from Miss Appleton and Mr Hancock ). Bring on the semi finals!
We were extremely proud of all the children who got up early to run the PC O’Brien race on Saturday morning at Ernesford Grange Secondary School. A special shout out to Louis for winning the boys’ race and Lily for winning the girls’ race. We also came away with 1st place for the boys’ group, 2nd place for the girls’
Skills Academy for the Summer Term has commenced. The children all seemed to thoroughly enjoy their new clubs, despite the rain.
Year 1 have enjoyed a camp fire, hot chocolate and getting muddy!
We’ve been having a lot of fun on a Friday afternoon dancing our way to the weekend! The children have been working hard to learn a new routine with our dance teacher Izzy and then applying some of their new moves to their own routines.
