Year 5 and Year 1, today received a visit from an amazing mobile planetarium, seen here, in all its glory in the KS2 hall. We had a teddy bear’s picnic in Nursery. We dressed up in our party clothes and brought in a bear or our favourite cuddly toy. We enjoyed making teddy bear toast using chocolate spread, bananas and raisins. They were really yummy!
In Year 3 we have been designing and creating our own models of predatory birds in flight. We used out DT skills to combine materials and solve problems.
Reception, Nursery and Little Owls all got together for a special assembly where Mrs Gould told us the story of ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. We all had a wonderful time working together, doing lots of different activities during a ‘Round Robin’ and made many new friends!

We started at the top of the pyramid and individually wrote down (in secret) what we thought the five most important features a setting description needed to include. We then shared our ideas with our friends on our tables and as a group chose the three most important features and wrote down some examples. One person from each group then
Using wall paper to write down our ideas allowed us to gather an abundance of words and phrases to use in our setting descriptions. We were able to challenge one another and extend each others learning.
