We loved listening to the story, ‘The Great Explorer’. Tom, the main character, goes on a great adventure, to the North pole, to rescue his dad. We decided to have a go at drawing some artic animals, some of which featured in the story. We hope you like our work.

There was something hidden inside a box! We had to put our hand inside, without looking, and try and describe what we were feeling. Some of the words we used were, ‘sticky’, ‘gooey’, ‘soft’, ‘wet’ and ‘squishy’. The items that were hidden inside the box included baked beans, honey, mud, marshmallows and flour.
We had lots of fun playing with slime this week. It was really squishy and gooey and even turned our hands green! We had fun making slime pies and slime cake! Yum!
We had fun playing hide and seek. The children were really good at finding different hiding places!
The children in Y6 shared their new found knowledge about climate change with the Y1 children over a Zoom call. It was a lovely way for the children to interact with one another and both groups really enjoyed themselves.
We used soap to carve out animals from the Arctic and Antarctica. It was harder than it looks!
Reception had an exciting time on Thursday. We had fun dancing during our ‘glow stick’ party and played lots of party games. There was a chocolate Tombola, where everyone won a prize. We enjoyed some party food too! The best bit was a visit from Santa on horse back! He even left some presents for us! Merry Christmas everyone!

We used junk materials to make models of the digestive system. We thought about which materials would work best to represent the different parts.
The children had great fun at our Christmas party. We played lots of different games including musical statues and pass the parcel. We also enjoyed eating some tasty party treats too! Some special visitors came to our party. Santa and his elf took time out from their busy schedule, to come and visit us in Nursery! It was lovely to
