2C had lots of fun blowing bubbles and observing them. They used simple scientific language such as sphere and transparent to describe what they saw.
Year 5 forest school children were clearing the path on Guilsborough Road. A lot of trimmed hedges over the years had built up so we cleared it to make the footpath twice as wide again.
We have been learning about deciduous and evergreen trees. We sorted trees and went on a tree hunt.
During this lesson we looked at (fake!) poo to see what was in it – some were droppings with grass in and others were darker, longer and with feathers. This resulted in us talking about carnivores and herbivores.
It may have been a very cold morning, but Mr Walsh’s maths group kept warm through a series of shuttle-runs – some in a not-so-serious style – and some tricky maths tasks, based on Place Value. Well done to all the children involved, who clearly had fun and practised their maths skills with a smile on their faces!
Reception children have been working hard to improve their co-ordination and balance focusing on their footwork and their one legged balance. They are putting their skills to good practise whilst riding their magical invisible bikes around the hall.
On Friday we created a wreath made up of our own handprints with Christmas wishes on them! We put them all together and made some holly and stars to create our very own Year 4 Christmas Wreath.
We had lots of fun while raising money for charity. We saw so many creative and funky hair styles – it was great to see everyone getting involved!
