We have been learning the Greek Story about the Trojan War. We used our designing and making skills to create our own models of Trojan horses. We made sure they all had working wheels and axles. It was lots of fun!

We really enjoyed listening to the story, We’re going on a bear hunt’ by Michael Rosen. We decided to retell the story by drawing everything that the family went through including long, wavy grass, thick, oozy mud and a swirling, whirling snowstorm. We worked really hard. Here is some of our work. We hope you like it!
This week we have enjoyed our science experiments: the ‘beak’ investigation, which required us to transfer grains of rice using different shaped beaks and the laces investigation, where each participant had adapated in different ways; some of which were helpful in retrieving the laces (food) and some which were definitely NOT helpful.
Year 4 went on strike today and instead of doing English, we marched around the school to raise awareness of Climate Change.
We had fun practising our ball skills in PE this week. We had to throw, catch and roll a ball with a partner. We also had fun throwing bean bags into a target!
The children worked together to produce an amazing piece of collaborative art work that is now displayed along the corridor in the Parker Building. The children used different types and textures of paper to create an under-the-sea scene. They thought carefully about where to position things by looking at what had already been stuck down.
We got creative in Reception this week and made a wand! We had a variety of materials to choose from, such as feathers, pom poms, pipe cleaners, sequins and ribbons. We then talked about what our wishes would be! What wish would you make?
Year 4 enjoyed discussing the features of a river using geographical words.
