We have now completed our Round the World Imagination Trip! And what a wonderful trip it has been!!We returned to England by jumbo jet, landing at London’s Heathrow Airport. We spent three days exploring the capital city and then came home to Coventry. We met Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, who graciously answered our many questions on her ‘hot seat’ throne.

We have been learning about the traditional craft methods that were used in the Stone Age and Bronze Age. We wove our own baskets using natural materials. It took a lot of patience and resilience to complete them!
We all had fun in Forest School! We learned how to safely light a fire, use tools such as hand drills and saws too. Can you tell by our smiles how much we enjoyed it?!
We enjoyed visiting our new classes and meeting our Reception teachers!
We are incredibly proud of the children who have attended the intensive swimming course at the Alan Higgs Centre over the past two weeks learning a very important life skill. They have shown bravery and determination as well as perseverance by walking there and back every day.
This week we have enjoyed learning about the circulatory system. We have learnt the names and functions of the different parts of the heart, made blood, acted out how blood travels around the body, measured our heart rates before and after exercise and dissected pig’s hearts. *Final photos include pig’s hearts.
We travelled to Tanzania by rocket! We learned about the Maasai tribe and did some jumping. We saw Kilimanjaro and went on Safari to see some of the animals who live in the Savannah. We coloured in flags and beautiful African cloth designs! The mango juice we tasted was sweet and delicious!
Congratulations to the green team who were the overall year 4 winners and well done to all the year 4 children for making it such a fun afternoon. You all showed such enthusiasm, determination and really great sportsmanship. Thank you to Mr Hancock and Mr Burgess for organising it all.
