Key Stage 1 School Council enjoyed creating posters to encourage everyone to pick up litter!
This week Year 4 have been writing to entertain when creating poems about sea creatures. They were inspired by ‘The Sea is a Hungry Dog’ by James Reeves. Kevin Graal, a storyteller, did a special Zoom meeting today. He told us a story about some naughty monkeys who stole hats from the hat maker! It was lots of fun and we had to use our imaginations!
This week, 2C have been building air powered cars using simple materials. They worked in small groups to build it and fix any design issues along the way! They are now hard at work writing the instructions for making the vehicle in case anyone else would like to build one of their own!
This week in Reception we have been learning about ‘goodies’ and ‘baddies’ in fairy tale stories. We thought about what makes a ‘goody’ and what makes a ‘baddy’. We sorted the characters and painted our favourite characters too!
Mr Taylor bought in Chester, our school dog, to meet RSG today.
Year 4 enjoyed learning about the different ocean zones this afternoon. They worked in groups to predict which creatures lived in which zone. There are some real ocean experts in the year group already!
This week Reception enjoyed exploring the number 5! We used pictures of hands to help us and played “High Fives” too!
