Year 3 and 4 went out to enjoy the snow at the start of the week. Mr Riley took some footage to use in our Christmas Concert video.

Reception enjoyed dressing up in their Christmas jumpers! A big thank you for all the kind ‘chocolate’ donations too!
We had fun making penguins! We drew 2 circles for the head and body and cut them out using scissors. We stuck them together and added wobbly eyes and a beak. We then gave them a fluffy tummy and some wings. We hope you like our work!
We’ve been resourceful in Forest Schools by creating a natural drum kit out of whatever we could find. We had fun singing and dancing along to the beat whilst we made some beads out of elder sticks.
Year 6 Forest Schools group has been learning to tie different knots to help them with building shelters. We used the reef knot to tie rope together and then used a loop knot to create ends to put pegs through. Teamwork was essential as we made use of all the natural logs and branches.
A level physics students visited Year 3 this week to talk all about rockets and how they work. We even got to make our own and blast them off into space ! ( on the playground!) The children had a great time learning all about the science behind how rockets work. As part of our partnership with The Ogden Trust,
Reception had fun exploring the snow at lunchtime! It was very cold but we wrapped up warm!
The recorder group are really coming along and can now play a couple of different songs. The games group are improving on their strategising when challenging each other to some well known games.
Who would have thought learning with playdough could be so much fun. 6A were very excited about using playdough to respresent some of the causes of climate change. It helped to secure their knowledge of a vital yet complicated topic.
