Year 4 enjoyed investigating which material was best for absorbing sound using a bell, jar and trundle wheel.

Year 3 have been learning about the Commonwealth Games. Each Sports Day team was given a Commonwealth country and asked to find out about their sporting history. We had lots of fun finding out about flags, populations and how many different sports the country has competed in. We found out that some countries have won many medals over the years!
4SE Maths group enjoyed comparing and ordering angles today.
Year 4 have been enjoying learning about ‘sound’. They learnt how it is created through vibrations and how those particles travel through the ear, which in turn sends signals to the brain. They worked together as a group and presented this information in a variety of different ways.
4SE enjoyed a visit to Morrisons. They learnt all about how fish are caught and prepared to be sold, were given an informative demonstration by the butcher, raced to scan items on the check-out and prepared and enjoyed a fruit salad.
We had fun at our sports day! Our grown ups came to watch. We took part in lots of different races including the obstacle race, quoit on the head, bean bag on the bat and a running race. At the end we had a medal ceremony and an iced lolly treat!

We travelled to India by magic carpet! We coloured in flags, Bengal tigers, and peacocks. We designed our own Mehndi and Rangoli patterns and we made patterns on cloth with tie dye! We tasted some delicious samosas, yummy! We learned how to do Bhangra dancing, it was great fun!
