We celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee by making book marks, a collage, eating delicious cakes, drinking squash and dancing!!!!

Although the rain kept us inside, we still had lots of fun at our Jubilee Party! Year 1 had party food, dancing and games. The children also learnt lots about the Queen and her long reign.
We had a fantastic day learning about the Queen and her Platinum Jubilee! We played lots of games and ended the day with a party!
Mrs Kingswell’s maths group went into the learning hub and worked together to solve some money problems. Then the children had a go at writing their own problems for their friends to solve.
What a fantastic finish to our Roman topic! The children enjoyed many activities, but particularly loved baking Roman bread, sampling some Roman cuisine and having Gladiator battles! An enjoyable day had by all!
Year 4 were very excited to learn that there were three new chicks…unfortunately, they didn’t spot them on this occasion.
We had to colour the hexagons. We could use whatever colours we liked. Our challenge was to make sureno hexagons next to each other were the same colour!
This week we are learning about bees! We have tasted honey sandwiches and have rolled beeswax candles! On Friday 20th May, it was World Bee Day!
We have enjoyed taking our learning outdoors and have focussed on various sounds including the ur, er and ew digraphs and using full stops at the end of our sentences.
