An amazing first day for Groups A and B today. Glorious sunshine made for a perfect day at the beach, rock pooling and looking for sealife. We topped this off with an ice cream! Group D has had a fantastic day today. This morning we went rock climbing and this afternoon, gorge walking. There’s been lots of teamwork and determination on show. The weather was glorious and it was lovely to cool off in the water.
Saturday brought glorious weather as each group headed out for an action packed day. Group E had the opportunity to swim, solve challenges as a team, conquer a zip line and try to avoid falling into the slimey pond !
After a long journey thanks to Friday night traffic, we arrived safely and began to settle in to Dol Y Moch. The children were keen to explore and soon settled into their new routines.
Over the last couple of weeks, we have set up a wildlife camera next to our school pond to capture some of the wildlife visiting us throughout day.

Over the last two weeks the children have enjoyed exploring minibeasts! We have looked at the lifecycle of a butterfly and learned some special words such as pupa or chrysalis. We have also learned the names of different kinds of minibeasts. In the nursery garden we looked for minibeasts in their habitats! We found some wriggly worms, woodlice, a centipede,
