In our final session of a large Forest School block, the year 6 children reflected on the skills they’ve learned and enjoyed cooking bananas and chocolate within the open fire. Although it was messy, we enjoyed keeping warm and talked about our favourite bits from our Forest School sessions previously.
Our skills academy children in Forest Schools showed excellent teamwork this week in tidying the dome and getting it ready for the winter months. Keeping on top of this is crucial in allowing us to continue a good plant turnover.
In Skills Academy, the children have been safely using peelers to carve out their own wands. They then chose to decorate them with either; colours or by carving intricate designs into the handles.
The children had lots of fun dressing up in their Christmas outfits! We designed some Christmas jumpers too! Many thanks for all the chocolate donations.
The Years 5&6 boys football team had their first match of the season. After having a game cancelled the week before we went straight into a cup match against Keresley Grange. The School Council organised a cake sale for Children in Need this year, and we were overwhelmed with the donations that we received. We spent a long time making sure that each phase had enough cakes for their cake sale, which took place on Thursday 17th November. The sale was a huge success, and we raised lots of money for
