Reception children followed some simple instructions to make their own sandwiches and enjoyed eating them with their class puppets!

This week we enjoyed making dens, making three in different ways, practising our letter formation and applying the sounds we know to know to blend some new words. We also enjoyed taking part in the Harvest assembly with Year 1 and 2.
We dodged the rain and had a toasted marshmallow. Children shared jokes and songs by the fire. It was a lovely way to end our forest school sessions!

The children in Year 6, harvested the oddly shaped sweet potatoes (one of our final vegetables to harvest for the season). We then had a go at building some shelters using our building kits and anything else we could find in the area.

Year 6 enjoyed making a Kahoot quiz to practise generating questions, and researching their current Knowledge Rich Project about the Maafa.
The children enjoyed making some fantastic clay hedgehogs. We talked about how the clay felt as we squashed and squeezed it. We added some googly eyes and matchsticks made brilliant prickles!
