Thank you to all of the budding artists who have joined in this year’s Go Ape competition! We have seen some lovely skills shown in the wonderful Christmas card designs. We are sending the entries off and keeping our fingers crossed. Stay tuned to see if we have one lucky winner! In the meantime, please enjoy our entries.

2C were challenged to paint a composition using a given template where they had to first mix three secondary colours and then paint using both primary and secondary colours to complete their work. They tried hard to place colours next to each other which looked pleasing to the eye.
In 2C’s Art project called Mix It, the children have been learning about primary and secondary colours. In this lesson we made a printing block out of clay, which we added texture and pattern to, before printing. We printed using only primary colours and then looked at the secondary colours we had created as they overlapped.
Children in year 1 have been learning about the colour wheel. They have mixed the three primary colours together to make secondary colours. They then created art work by using different textured rollers, and folding painted paper in half.
Year 4 have enjoyed getting into the Anglo-Saxon spirit by practising their weaving. Here are some in-action shots and final pieces!
Year 1 have been learning about self portraits. They have looked at the features of a face and drawn themselves using pencils. They then traced over their own photos onto laminating pouches.
