Over the past few weeks we have been using our Forest School skills of teamwork and tool use to sculpt our very own wooden mallets. The Year 1’s talked about different types of shelters and where we may find them. As a group they created their own shelter and decorated their dens with all sorts of things! Some of the children told stories, whilst others created their own games to play.
KS1 forest schools skills academy club collected a variety of different dried leaves to create their own fox masks. They then went over to the school vegetable patch to pick some carrots. They were delicious and very crunchy!
Year 1 forest school group used a mallet, different types of leaves and white fabric to create fantastic leaf printed patterns.
Forest school last Friday was so hot so we made our own vanilla ice cream! We mixed ice and salt in one side of the ball, and cream, sugar and vanilla essence in the other. After half an hour of playing games rolling the ball we ended up with delicious ice cream!
