The netball team had their first tournament this week, the network schools set up a netball tournament at the University of Warwick. A brilliant venue for the children to experience High 5 netball for the first time. The team started in brilliant fashion winning their first game. The Year 5/6 Girls Football season started with a tournament at Binley Woods Primary School. We were invited by Onside Coaching to the 10 team tournament. We were put into 2 groups of 5. We started with 2 tough games against Dunchurch and Paddox Primary School, the girls worked really hard to win both games 1-0. A very impressive start
Our year 6 sports leaders having been supporting on the Key Stage 1 playground and helping Mr Hancock and Mr Burgess with their lunchtime clubs.
The Year 3&4 Girls football team started this year’s competitions in brilliant fashion this week . The very excited team went to the AT7 Centre to play 3 games of football in this months competition. We were put in a group against Willenhall, Eastern Green and Christ The King. We started against Willenhall in a very close match which ended
The children in this group are certainly being put through their paces! They have been learning new strength and conditioning exercises within a Tabata timed themed session and also showing off their skills on the wall bars.
This half term year 1 are looking to improve their running, jumping and throwing skills in PE. Its only week 2 and we can already see some good improvements with their techniques. Keep it up year 1!
This week the children chose the basketball shooters and table tennis. The children choose a different sport or activity each week. Places are still available for this term if you would like to join us.
This half term year 6 are focusing on their personal skills. They have been developing their reaction and response skills and putting those skills into practice when playing their Tag Netball games. A great start to year 6 PE.
A really enjoyable first couple of weeks in the Years 3&4 after school football club. The captains chose their teams for the week and looked at teamwork. The children have definitely worked on their celebrations over the Summer!
Year 3 are working on their personal learning this half term. They have been working on on improving their footwork skills and applying his into their lessons.
