We spent the last hour of our Friday afternoon enjoying games of table tennis and basketball. A competitive rowing tournament commenced which we will continue over the next few weeks. It was great to see the older children encouraging the younger members of our club.
WEEK 2: We made fruit kebabs. We chose from lots of different fruits like; banana, grapes, apple, mango and pineapple. Then we drizzled milk and/or white chocolate on top!
WEEK 1: We made pizzas using small tortillas, tomato puree, cheese and/or ham. We even turned our second pizzas into quesadillas by folding them over. Can you tell from our smiley faces that we really enjoyed making these?!
The children in the Forest school skills academy club enjoyed leaf printing. They created their own symmetrical designs by hammering leaves onto the fabric. We then went to the vegetable patch and found some enormous carrots!
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been creating a colourful and bold piece of art which we mounted on black card. We think they look amazing!
The children in Mrs Kingswell and Mrs Masterson’s cooking club enjoyed making and tasting different things, including pitta bread pizzas, shortbread biscuits, crispie cakes, cinnamon and chocolate rolls and even becoming chocolatiers.
Mrs Pedley and her group have been busy creating a whole host of interesting Halloween based items.
Today the KS1 Forest school skills academy group made crowns. They found leaves, cones, grass and other natural items to decorate them.
We have really enjoyed making loombands in skills academy. We learnt to make the ‘fishtail’ style loombands using a special board. Here are some of the bracelets we made!
