Year 4 have started practising previously learned multiplication facts and learning new ones, in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication Check which will take place in June. The aim is for all children in year 4 to be able to quickly recall all multiplication facts up to 12 x 12. We will be using different games, TTRockstars and Times table

This week Year 3 have been very busy! We celebrated European Day of Languages on Tuesday and completed a number of French Challenges set by The British Council. This week the children have learnt their first sounds in phonics, which are s, a, t, p, and they had a review day to recap on their learning. In Maths we introduced the children to Numberblocks and subitising, which they really enjoyed. They explored the story We’re going on a bear hunt with a story map. This was explored further
The children really enjoyed starting our European languages day by attending our French breakfast.
We have had a busy week in Year 3! Our writing has been based on Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura. Year 2 were learning about the Gruffalo over the first couple of weeks of term, so we decided to make some Gruffalo toadstool pizzas in Design and Technology. They went down a treat!
A really enjoyable first couple of weeks in the Years 3&4 after school football club. The captains chose their teams for the week and looked at teamwork. The children have definitely worked on their celebrations over the Summer!
