We started our Autumn History topic, Invasion, by looking at maps and timelines and trying to answer questions about Anglo-Saxon and Viking invasions.
Year 4 have started practising previously learned multiplication facts and learning new ones, in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication Check which will take place in June. The aim is for all children in year 4 to be able to quickly recall all multiplication facts up to 12 x 12. We will be using different games, TTRockstars and Times table
The children really enjoyed starting our European languages day by attending our French breakfast.
The children in this group are certainly being put through their paces! They have been learning new strength and conditioning exercises within a Tabata timed themed session and also showing off their skills on the wall bars.
This week the children chose the basketball shooters and table tennis. The children choose a different sport or activity each week. Places are still available for this term if you would like to join us.
A really enjoyable first couple of weeks in the Years 3&4 after school football club. The captains chose their teams for the week and looked at teamwork. The children have definitely worked on their celebrations over the Summer!
A really pleasing start to the athletics topic for Year 4. They have been focusing on their running, jumping and throwing techniques. We are looking forward to seeing their improvements over the next few weeks.
