Today we have been looking at what kind of information is safe to share online, and what shouldn’t be shared. We looked at lots of different scenarios where information has been shared safely or unsafely. The children also looked at how to share photos safely.

The beach hut project is well underway in Year 2, with the children learning how to measure, cut and join wood together in preparation for making their beach hut frames next week.
We have started our new Design and Technology topic called Beach Hut. We have spent two afternoons working on making our structures stronger, stiffer and more stable. We used newspaper, card, masking tape and paper. Now we are ready to make the real things out of wood!
In maths this week, we learnt how to sort 2D shapes into different categories such as; 4 sides or less than 4 sides, yellow shapes or red shapes and vertices or no vertices.
Mr Taylor and Chester enjoyed sharing some of their favourite stories.
2C were challenged to paint a composition using a given template where they had to first mix three secondary colours and then paint using both primary and secondary colours to complete their work. They tried hard to place colours next to each other which looked pleasing to the eye.
We have had the BEST time rehearsing for the Christmas play and we thought you would like to see these photographs of the children in their costumes.
In 2C’s Art project called Mix It, the children have been learning about primary and secondary colours. In this lesson we made a printing block out of clay, which we added texture and pattern to, before printing. We printed using only primary colours and then looked at the secondary colours we had created as they overlapped.
