This week in Nursery we have continued to think about Harvest, fruit, vegetables and especially pumpkins!
The children enjoyed sorting fruit and vegetables on a flip chart game. We discussed our favourite fruit and vegetables and thought about healthy eating.
The role play changed into Wizardy Woo’s kitchen and the children have had fun dressing up and making frog soup and bat cake!
We looked at some carved pumpkins and the children enjoyed creating their own pumpkin face collages using different 2D shapes. They explored some other smaller pumpkins and we talked about the differences in size, weight, shape and colour.
In Rhyme Time, (Little Wandle Phonics Scheme), the children have explored the nursery rhyme ‘1, 2 Buckle My Shoe’, thinking about rhyming words, syllables and singing it fast, slow, loud and quiet.
