This week Reception have enjoyed learning all about bridges and machines. They were challenged to get a car across a tuff tray without getting wet. They also watched a video and discussed what bridges are used for, the materials they are made from and why we use them.
They have also explored ‘Rememberance’ and created poppies using lots of different materials, exploring materials further by creating dens.
In SR, the children have been role-playing in Jemima’s cafe and using their phonics knowledge to write items on the ‘Special’s board’. The children have also been preparing the role-play area in Miss Conniff’s room.
The children used materials and puppets to retell the story of The 3 Little Pigs.
