Over the half term holiday, the children chose from a list of homework activities. They wrote pirate jokes, wrote diaries of their trips to the coast but many of brought in treasure chests and ships which they had made. They enjoyed sharing their work and we have enjoyed celebrating in their achievements.
We have also continued with our work about pirates and we have started to think about writing our own information text about life on board a pirate ship. The children have read non-fiction texts and learned the names of the features in this type of writing e.g. title, heading, subheading and questions. They managed to piece together a jumbled up text as a team.
