This week was about our new topic Moving On and the children embraced this as they had a very special day moving on and spending time in their new classroom with their new teachers in preparation for next year. We also focussed on team work and what means and how it looks! We had challenges such as passing the hoop without breaking the chain and keeping a ball on the parachute. We had discussions about why have teams and how it can make things easier and more achievable. In Phonics we reviewed and revised long vowel sounds, words ending with -ing, -ed, -er and -est and as always we practised our tricky words! In maths we started to think about numbers, what they are made of and how we can partition them.
