This week..the children have focussed on their counting skills! They have been considering what accurate counting looks like, sharing their own strategies and applying their skills in their play. They have explored which oceans are hot and cold, have shared their favourite marine animals and completed some sea animal comprehension. Books enjoyed this week are Come Away From the Water, Shirley by John Burningham and A first Book of the Sea by Nicola Davies. In Phonics we are continuing to review phase 3 long vowel sounds, looking at words ending with -s and tricky words. In other areas the children have enjoyed being dentists and cleaning teeth and practising some positive affirmations as part of our health and self care week! The children.
