This week the children have practised some gross motor skills, worked in teams and have shown off their story telling skills! In Phonics we have revised phase 3 long vowel sounds, tricky words and some digraphs such as -ai, -ar, er and -oa. They have looked at words ending with -ing and -ed too. In maths we have been deepening our understanding of number to 5 using stem sentences such as 5 is the whole, 4 is a part and 1 is a part. We have read The Tortoise and The Hare, Kicking a Ball by Allan Ahlberg and Lewis Hamilton (little people, BIG DREAMS) by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. Lastly, we have been preparing for the big move to Year 1 by talking about the up coming changes and sitting at tables!
