Well what a festive filled week! The children enjoyed performing their nativity to their grown ups, and didn’t they do an amazing job! Thank you to everyone who attended.
This week the children have been focusing on subitising in their maths lessons and also played a game of bingo. They have been exploring the theme of ‘friendship’ and what that means (including what it means to be a good friend) and have been retelling the nativity story through the medium of pencil. In their phonics lessons, the children have enjoyed spelling some Xmas themed words.
In provision the children have been getting busy continuing to make and use sock puppets; discussing the features of a Christingle as they make them; junk modelling; feeding the reindeer the correct amount of carrots; decorating the home corner ready for Christmas; writing Christmas cards; playing and moulding with ‘snow’ and lots and lots more!
